BOARD ELECTIONS
The Lindsay Heights Neighborhood Improvement District (NID 12) is guided by residents, property owners, and community stakeholders who volunteer their time to strengthen and represent the neighborhood. Each year, the NID holds an election to select members of the Board of Directors and invites community members to participate in advisory committees that help shape programs and priorities.

Board service and committee participation are important ways for community members to take part in decision-making and help guide investments that support neighborhood stability, economic development, and resident well-being.
NID elections take place annually during the second week of March, and committee applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Who Can Participate
Residents and property owners within the NID boundary are encouraged to participate in the election process. Voting eligibility and procedures are guided by the NID operating plan and bylaws to ensure fair representation of the district.
Candidate Opportunities
Individuals who are interested in serving on the NID Board of Directors must submit a board application and obtain 25 signatures from residents within the NID boundary, during the annual election period. In order to support a smooth transition for new board members, we require all board members to attend the annual board training and participate in orientation.
Election Process
The NID conducts elections annually during the second week of March. Prior to the election, candidate information is shared publicly and community members are invited to learn about those who have volunteered to serve. Election details, including voting procedures and event information, are announced each year in advance.
